Measures
The video footages of Hadijah’s acts of violence at My First Skool caused a wave of paranoia among anxious parents afraid for their child’s safety. In hopes of easing the tension, measures at My First Skool has been taken since the 5th of July in hopes of regaining their trust.
- NTUC First Campus (NFC) met up with a group of parents from the playgroup class and informed parents during a meeting that they will cooperate with the police on further investigations. Two parents had filed police reports prior to the meeting. Additional parent engagement classes are also planned to offer them reassurance.
- Senior early childhood specialists from NFC headquarters have also been deployed to support the teachers in the playgroup class to ensure the well-being of the children.
- As for staff who have been affected by the incident, external professional counselors have been engaged to provide emotional support.
